Purnima Thapa is a PhD student at the School of Manuscriptology and Palaeography, Central Sanskrit University, Delhi. Her specialization lies on Indian epigraphy and palaeography, with expertise in ancient scripts, including Brahmi, Kharosthi, Sharada, Siddhamatrika, Newari, Nandi Nagari, Grantha, Maithili, Bangla, and Devanagari. She has hands-on experience in cataloging, preservation, manuscript transcription and calligraphy. She has presented papers from her research, conducted a workshop on Grantha script, given MOOC lectures on Sharada script at the Jammu Campus of Central Sanskrit University, and served as instructor Sanskrit Sambhashana Shivir (conversation camp).
