Umāpati Civācāriyār (early fourteenth century CE), disciple of Maṟaiñāṉa Campantar, is one of the contributors to the Śaiva canon, the Meykaṇṭa Cāttiraṅkaḷ. Umāpati Civācāriyār authored eight treatises out of the fourteen treatises of the canon.
, He lived in the South Indian temple city of Citamparam, and he was the last of the four “legendary or hereditary teachers” of the Tamil Śaiva Siddhānta school.
, The date of his death is preserved in monastic tradition as 1325 CE.
